Wow. BET’s Bob Johnson – who insisted that he wasn’t making a reference to Barack Obama’s drug use when he spoke at a rally for Hillary Clinton recently — just recanted and apologized to Obama.
His line was, “As an African American, I am frankly insulted that the Obama campaign would imply that we are so stupid that we would think Hillary and Bill Clinton, who have been deeply and emotionally involved in black issues, when Barack Obama was doing something in the neighborhood that I won’t say what he was doing but he said it in his book… “
He later insisted to the press that he was referring to Obama’s community organizing. Riiiiiight.
I guess that line became “inoperable.”
