Hillary Song Update: Dixie Chicks Knocked Out, Celine Dion Joins Nominees

Hillary’s supporters have rejected Jesus.

Er, Jesus Jones, that is, concluding “Right Here, Right Now,” isn’t worthy of placing among the finalists for her campaign song. Also getting knocked out were U2′s City of Blinding Lights, and – surprise! – The Dixie Chicks’ “Ready to Run.”
There seems to be a controversy over Smash Mouth’s “I’m a Believer.” It isn’t listed on the press release, but it’s still listed on the ballot on Hillary’s web site.
The five write-ins are:

  • Are You Gonna Go My Way – Lenny Kravitz
  • Ain’t No Stoppin’ Us Now – McFadden & Whitehead
  • Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic – The Police
  • You and I – Celine Dion
  • The Best – Tina Turner

I’m backing Celine Dion, mostly because I can’t stand her. I don’t like it when a campaign I disagree with uses music that I like.
