Michelle Obama would get less grief about a couple hundred grand being spent on her trip to Spain if her husband hadn’t, say, ripped into companies holding conventions in Las Vegas:
“You can’t go take a trip to Las Vegas or go down to the Super Bowl on the taxpayer’s dime,” he declared of companies taking TARP funds.
The next day, Goldman Sachs pulled the plug on a technology conference in Las Vegas, greatly irking Nevada’s political leaders.
Wonder how this plays in Nevada with its competitive Senate and House races . . .
