Republican congressman Charlie Dent, who represents Pat Toomey’s old seat in Congress — a district that Barack Obama carried, 56 percent to 43 percent — has endorsed his predecessor. Apparently Dent isn’t too worried about Toomey being a drag at the top of the ticket. Of course, Dent was reelected by 53,000 votes while Obama was winning by that wide margin.
