I Think the Missing Second ‘T’ Is Holding Him Back

The unemployment rate and difficult job market really ought to concern Sen. Michael Bennet of Colorado . . . because he looks set to join those ranks in the not-too-distant future.

First, there’s his primary fight against Andrew Romanoff. Then Bennet’s most likely general election foe is Jane Norton; she leads him 48 percent to 39 percent. (She leads Romanoff 44 percent to 42 percent.)

But Bennet trails the other two GOP contenders, too; former state senator Tom Wiens leads him by 3 and Weld County district attorney Ken Buck leads him by 6.

Obama held a fundraiser to help out Bennet recently, but that may not be much help; 46 percent “strongly disapprove” of the president’s performance with another 10 percent “somewhat disapproving” of his performance.
