I Thought The Veep Audition Came Before the Selection

Judging from the remarks as prepared, Evan Bayh does his best to play the attack dog tonight. (A little late if he thinks it will get him the veep slot, no?) In 17 paragraphs, he mentions Bush 12 times and McCain 7 times. He actually says, “George Bush and John McCain were wrong about going to war in Iraq.” That’s quite a statement from a senator who was a member of the Coalition to Liberate Iraq and who cosponsored the Iraq War resolution.

Meanwhile, John Tabin says Kerry’s speech is a train wreck, accusing McCain of flip-flopping and reminiscing about Vietnam protests.
