CNN just showed McCain getting a generally polite, but unenthusiastic response at the NAACP convention. I don’t expect large numbers of African-Americans to wholeheartedly embrace the rival of the first African-American major party candidate, but the guy who made a big show of reading a copy of USA Today during McCain’s speech seemed pretty rude.
