According to the CNN scrolling chart on the bottom of the screen, women reacted to Obama’s discussion of health care in approximately the same manner as Meg Ryan in the diner scene in “When Harry Met Sally.”
Having said that, my readers liked McCain’s response, “how much is the fine?”
They also noted that while Obama’s tale of his mother arguing with her health insurance company in her final months on this earth was heartbreaking, if you don’t like arguing with an insurance company about your health care, “just think about arguing with a government bureaucrat who leaves work at 3:30.”
But it’s easier for voters to picture the devil they know than the devil they don’t.
