‘I’m Proud to Be Barack’s Running Mate… Hey, Why Are Those Russian Tanks Approaching?’

Last night I suggested there was a good chance we would see Obama’s pick named (or at least leaked) today. One oft-mentioned veep possibility, Sen. Joe Biden, is in Georgia this morning — the country, not the state — and would seem to be a bit far away for an announcement.

On the other hand, Team Obama loves to do things that are new and different — announce the pick by text message, acceptance speech at a football stadium, big speech/rally in Berlin, redesigned presidential seal. Maybe they’ll announce the pick and have Biden respond while in Tbilisi.
