It Was Too Much to Ask, Apparently

Late on a Saturday of Labor Day weekend, Van Jones, the president’s special adviser on green jobs, who helped organize a 2002 march AND signed a 2004 petition that suggested that the U.S. government perpetrated or allowed the 9/11 attacks to occur, resigned.
Mr. President, was it really too much to ask that you speak a critical word of Van Jones’s trutherism? Beyond Robert Gibbs’s milquetoast ”he doesn’t [endorse] but thanks him for his service”?
