I can’t improve on the way that Jen Rubin put it. With the administration dropping the jaw-droppingly stupid idea of making veterans pay for service-related injuries through private health insurance, it’s time for them to take up another jaw-droppingly stupid idea . . . releasing some of the Guantanamo Bay detainees on U.S. soil.
And hey, they haven’t dropped the idea of reducing the tax deduction for charitable contributions.
I think I was pretty clear on the flaws a President McCain would have brought to the table. Just once, I’d like to see an Obama voter say, “Wow, the guy I voted for has some terrible ideas sometimes.”
