The Jersey Guy Stops by Iowa Today

New Jersey governor Chris Christie has insisted, many times, that he’s not running for president. But if he wants it, can still have an oversized role in the Republican presidential primary — and no, that wasn’t a reference to his weight. Today he’ll be in Iowa, addressing the state education summit discussing reforms in New Jersey, and then holding a press conference with GOP governor Terry Branstad. What are the odds that reporters there will ask him about some of the names competing hardest out in Iowa — Michele Bachmann, Tim Pawlenty, Herman Cain? And how much could praise from Christie boost one of those folks?
