John Edwards Endorsing Barack Obama

Huffington Post offers the rumor, and CNN confirms: John Edwards is endorsing Obama.

Way to come through on the timing, one week after North Carolina.
UPDATE: And a day after West Virginia? Think Edwards touting Obama’s working-class bona fides might have helped narrow that 41 percent margin of victory yesterday?
Might be worth something in Kentucky, I suppose… And this will probably be helpful in those white working-class demographics if Edwards gets out and touts Obama relentlessly to “his” voters. But as useful as this is to Obama, and disappointing as this is to Hillary, we can only wonder what it would have been worth before Super Tuesday… or before Ohio… or before Pennsylvania…
ANOTHER UPDATE: Leno, last night: “Word is Obama offered to make Edwards his Secretary of Shampoo and Highlights.”
