I should have a post up in the not-too-distant future looking at those maybe-competitive districts in Maine and Nebraska, where either McCain or Obama could win a lone electoral vote in an otherwise unlikely-to-win state.
The move from Michigan is higher-risk, higher-cost, very high reward (tough to see Obama winning 270 electoral votes without Michigan) to lower-risk, much lower cost, much lower reward. Best case scenario, McCain wins 4 electoral votes that everybody had (mentally) put in Obama’s pile. Medium case scenario, he wins 1 electoral vote that everybody put in Obama’s pile.
