His campaign certainly hit a rough patch this summer, but Republican Senate candidate Mark Kirk hasn’t trailed any of the six polls taken since mid-August. Kirk’s leads haven’t been large — 4 points here, 2 points there, 3 points there — but clearly his earlier missteps haven’t doomed his chances.
