Hillary’s favorable is 53 percent, unfavorable 44 percent. Two percent shifted from “undecided” to “approval” in the past week.
Mitt Romney’s 26 percent favorable, 34 percent unfavorable, 23 percent never heard of, 17 percent no opinion. Since a week ago, his favorables are down 3 percent, unfavorables up 6 percent, never heard of is down 6 percent. (This is all probably usual within-the-margin-of-error shifting.)
Fred Thompson’s 32 percent favorable, 30 percent unfavorable, 23 percent never heard of, 15 percent no opinion. His favorable is down 1 percent, unfavorable up 6 percent, never heard of down 7 percent.
McCain is at 46 percent favorable, 37 percent unfavorable, 17 percent no opinion. Last week he was at 46 favorable, 31 unfavorable, 22 percent no opinion.
(So far, all three Republicans are up 6 percent in their unfavorables, which to me, means the sample had more Democrats than last week.)
Barack Obama, 53 percent favorable, 32 percent unfavorable, 6 percent never heard of, 9 percent no opinion. Last week, 54 percent favorable, 27 percent unfavorable, 11 percent never heard of, 8 percent no opinion.
Rudy Giuliani, 49 percent favorable, 39 percent unfavorable, 6 percent never heard of, 6 percent no opinion. Last week, 54 percent favorable, 30 percent unfavorable, 8 percent never heard of, 8 percent no opinion.
John Edwards, 48 percent favorable, 34 percent unfavorable, 8 percent never heard of, 10 percent no opinion. Last week, 48 percent favorable, 31 percent unfavorable, 11 percent never heard of, 10 percent no opinion.
Among Republicans, Giuliani 32 percent, Thompson 18 percent, McCain 14 percent, Romney 10 percent, Huckabee 6 percent.
Among Democrats, Hillary Clinton 50 percent, Obama 21 percent, Edwards 13 percent, Richardson 4 percent.
