Latest New Jersey Poll Shows . . . Pretty Much More of the Same

A new Monmouth University/Gannett poll of New Jersey likely voters released today puts Chris Christie ahead of Jon Corzine, but by a slightly smaller margin than some other polls, 45 percent to 37 percent.

Of course, an incumbent polling below 40 percent is pretty darn lousy. And as for the idea that Corzine can save himself by tying himself to Obama, 76 percent say that their vote for governor will be based solely on state and local issues.
