At Least In-Person Voter Fraud Will Be Tough in Virginia

At about 11 a.m., I was the 401st person to vote with a last name with that begins to with the letter “G” in my precinct in Yuppie Acres, within the city of Alexandria, Virginia. (The lines for names starting with the last two thirds of the alphabet were much longer.) I showed picture ID, and they asked me for my full name and address. I’m feeling modestly reassured about the safeguards against voter fraud at least for in-person voting; for absentee, a voter has to provide proof of ID with the ballot. I imagine it’s difficult to get multiple IDs, but it’s probably easier to photoshop a photocopy to create multiple registrations…
