Looking For Information on Iowa, South Carolina Evangelicals

I’m working on a piece contrasting the Republican electorates in Iowa and South Carolina, with particular focus on evangelical Christians in those states. If you have particular knowledge of the political cultures of those groups, e-mail me.

The trigger for this is the observation that Mike Huckabee is currently leading in Iowa, sometimes by a wide margin, in a state that is about 5 percent Baptist. In South Carolina, which is about 45 percent Baptist, Huckabee has surged but is still in a dogfight – Rasmussen has him tied with Romney.
I’m exploring the argument that evangelical conservatives have contrasting cultural currents in the two states…
