The trigger for this is the observation that Mike Huckabee is currently leading in Iowa, sometimes by a wide margin, in a state that is about 5 percent Baptist. In South Carolina, which is about 45 percent Baptist, Huckabee has surged but is still in a dogfight – Rasmussen has him tied with Romney.
