The Campaign Spot

Looking At, But Not Revealing, ‘The Speech’

The speech is now floating around the blogs, but embargoed until delivery.

I’ll just note that reading through it, the toughest line I’ve seen so far has been, “I do not define my candidacy by my religion.  A person should not be elected because of his faith nor should he be rejected because of his faith.”
Perhaps Romney’s delivery will be fired up, and the rhetoric from the candidate himself will soar, but the words on the page seem pretty vanilla. Not much to object to, but I’m not sure how much this speech will change the debate surrounding the candidate.
