Hunter takes a shot at Romney’s health care plan.
Complaining that Romney’s plan allows too many mandates, Hunter, “The plans may mandate reproductive health care coverage. Well, what if you’re 90 years old? We may appreciate Governor Romney’s optimism, but it may not be necessary.”
Romney says he aimed to take out as many mandates as possible. He also says that his plan covers everybody – “this is the one state in America on track to get everybody health insurance.” I think it’s the first time he’s defended the Massachusetts plan in a debate, and he might as well defend it, since he’ll get slammed either way, and it’s a unique accomplishment.
Huckabee: “We don’t have a health care system, we have a health care maze.”
“When all the aging hippies find out that they get free drugs, just wait and see what that will cost you.”
Man, in this format, Huckabee’s en fuego, as they say on SportsCenter.
