Naive? Or Duplicitous?

Talking with Hugh Hewitt on his program a moment ago, the host noted, “the options for interpreting Barack Obama’s relationship with Wright are that Obama is either naive and had no idea that Wright had these views for the past twenty years, or that he is duplicitous, and that he knew all along, and only offers a full-throated denunciation when he becomes a political liability.”

I think Obama’s naive, but I can be persuaded otherwise.
