I realize his larger point that he deems them necessary — because, you know, every penny in the New Jersey state-government budget is wisely allocated and there’s not one red cent of waste anywhere — but Gov. Jon Corzine probably ought to avoid the phrase “I’ll be happy to” when he’s discussing raising gas taxes.
Weirdly enough, in the very same sentence, he says he doesn’t like raising taxes.
