The NRA Victory Fund’s Rather Broad Impression of Bloomberg’s ‘Cronies’

See, when Jon Corzine faces no real consequences for remarking that some Italian-Americans he just met “make cement shoes,” then everybody feels it’s okay to start dealing in stereotypes.

Like, you know, (ahem) my friends at the NRA.

While I completely agree with the message of the ad, I don’t think that a guy giving a Sopranos impression is quite the right tone. Bloomberg’s a hypocritical busybody nanny-state type; I haven’t heard any serious allegations he’s tied in with the mobster stereotype in the above ad.
