Hugh Hewitt notices that in 2000, in a Democratic congressional primary, Barack Obama said “I don’t think there are a lot of ideological differences,” between himself and his opponent, Rep. Bobby Rush, a former Black Panther. Rush had an American Conservative Union rating of 0 out of 100; as a senator, Obama has a lifetime ACU rating of 8 as of 2006.

Shockingly, Joe Klein says this is no big deal.
