The Obama Campaign Reports Bad News in Virginia! Well, Sort Of…

The Obama campaign just sent me an e-mail with the subject line, “Bad News.”

Dear [name],
Picture this:
It’s election night. The polls have closed and the results are in. One candidate will be the 44th President of the United States.
If we don’t step up our efforts right now and register as many voters as possible, the winner could be John McCain.
Think about what that means: four more years without a plan to end the Iraq war, four more years of economic turmoil, and four more years without quality, affordable health care.
Virginia’s registration deadline is Monday, October 6th. With only three days left, we need your help registering new voters.
You can make the difference. Forward this email and remind your friends, family, and neighbors to register and vote.
Tell everyone you know to visit VoteForChange.com, our one-stop voter registration website:

VoterForChange.com lets you do it all — check your registration status, register to vote, request an absentee ballot, or even find your early vote location or polling place.

Every vote is important, but we have just three days to make sure every voice for change is heard on Election Day.

This year, with your help, we can win Virginia — but only if you help register your friends and family. You don’t want to hear bad news on Election Day.
Thanks for all your efforts,
Mitch
