Give credit where it’s due; President Obama is a big believer in recycling. That’s why he’s recycling promises from his 2004 Senate bid and his 2008 presidential campaign:
Now, I understand that a lot of people procrastinate, but most folks can do the oft-mentioned, rarely-begun task — say, cleaning out the junk in their closets — within an eight-year time frame.
Obama might say that he couldn’t reform the tax code as a senator . . . but as a president . . . with a quite friendly Congress . . . well, maybe the time spent on 58 rounds of golf before 2011 could have been used to work a deal on tax simplification.
I understand that the Obama campaign will soon unveil their new slogan, “Change . . . eventually.”
