Is the Obama Team Working With Old Numbers in Florida?

Who’s right on Florida early voting numbers? The memo from the Obama camp:

All Voting:

Democrat: 650,363 43 percent

Republican: 651,700 43 percent

Other: 225,980 14 percent

Or the latest numbers in Florida newspapers?

Of the 1,435,301 absentee ballots returned by Friday, 49.05 percent came from Republicans, and 35.73 percent came from Democrats. Of the 1,967,295 early votes cast, 52.61 percent were by Democrats and 30.58% by Republicans.

Under the latter numbers, if everyone in Florida is voting party line, then the Democrats have an advantage of 242,213 votes. Having said, that note:

But the John McCain campaign stressed on a conference call that it has been aggessively targeting and turning out conservative Democrats and independents, so many of those non-Republican votes went for McCain. Campaign manager Rick Davis also said that when requested, but not yet returned absentee ballots are factored in, Florida Republicans have an advantage.
