Is Obama Tentative? Well, I’ve Seen More Confidence on Hostage Tapes

Democrats don’t like Bush, do like diplomacy. Film at 11.

Obama: “I would convene a meeting of Muslim leaders… We need to send a signal that we are willing to listen, not just talk.”
Edwards: “We need to end combat missions. We need to get combat troops out of Iraq. I’ll do that in my first year in office… There is a very clear difference here… What I worry about, if Bush invades Iran in the next six months, will we hear, ‘if only I knew then what I knew now’?” Ooooh.
That’s the closest anybody has come to landing a punch tonight. Hillary is giving Edwards a look that could burn through steel.
Hillary: “We will pursue al-Qaeda in Iraq. I don’t know how you pursue al-Qaeda in Iraq without combat troops… We’re having a semantic difference here.”
First commercial break.
My son is yawning. So am I.
