Obama Touts Transportation Stimulus in State That Has Spent Least

To tout the benefits of the stimulus package, President Obama traveled to Fairfax, Virginia, today. Earlier this month, House Transportation Committee Jim Oberstar observed that the “state ranks last among all states (51 out of 51), based on an analysis of the percentage of Recovery Act highway formula funds put out to bid, under contract and under way.”

Oh, you know who wasn’t there? Creigh Deeds, the Democrat running for governor, who’s been lamenting “what’s going on in Washington” lately.
