How many fund-raisers would you like your candidate to attend in September, with 60 to 30 days remaining until Election Day? By my count, Obama’s doing about 40 of them. One of them is in London.
Now, many of them will not be major time commitments. Drop in, shake a few hands, give a five to ten minute speech, then hop in the motorcade to get to the next event. And some of them can effectively double for speeches if he decides to open up these events to the press.
But by comparison, McCain will be doing none, unless he appears at RNC fund-raisers.
