Michigan GOP congressman Pete Hoekstra is announcing today he’s running for governor. He joins a small army of Republicans interested in the job, including Attorney General Mike Cox, Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land, and Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson.
Oh, and maybe Ted Nugent. (Language warning on that link.)
Why all the interest? Well, incumbent Democratic governor Jennifer Granholm is term-limited, and there’s a similar scrum on the Democrat side.
