The Campaign Spot

Packed To the Rafters in Anticipation of Sarah Palin

I’m now coming to you live from within the XCel Energy Center, courtesy of Cam and the fine folks at NRANews.com. (You can hear me on their program, immediately after Palin’s remarks conclude, roughly at 11 p.m. Eastern.) There are people filing in to the highest seats in the arena, unless the seats are directly behind the stage. I’m in the nosebleed seats, but the podium, stage, and GIANT screen behind the speaker are clear. Rarely have we witnessed such a high stakes appearance by a figure on the national stage.
Hawaii Governor Linda Lingle is giving a short biographical speech about her fellow governor: “Sarah Palin will not try to reinvent herself during this campaign… She is a unique combination of toughness and grace.”
