Reality Continues to Mess With Joe Biden and His Wildest Dreams

Joe Biden, discussing the stimulus just a week ago: “In my wildest dreams, I never thought it would work this well.”

Today, the Bureau of Labor Statistics announced the unemployment rate hit 9.8 percent, with another 263,000 jobs lost in September.

How high does the unemployment rate have to get before anyone in the Obama administration will admit the obvious: that it has been nowhere near as effective in creating jobs as they predicted?

UPDATE: Since Newsweek ran a cover piece declaring “The Recession Is Over!” 464,000 more Americans have become unemployed, and the unemployment rate has increased by four-tenths of one percent.
