Republican Debate Two, Part Four

Ron Paul continues to talk about “making friends around the world” and seems to suggest “we listen to the people who are attacking us.”

Giuliani says it’s an extraordinary statement that we invited the 9/11 attacks by fighting Iraq. “I don’t think I’ve ever heard that, and I’ve heard some really absurd explination.” ROARING APPLAUSE. “I would ask the congressman to withdraw that statement.” More applause.
Paul says “blowback… They attack us because we’re over there.” Giuliani wants another shot at Paul, Brit Hume and Co. bring back order.
Goler’s question about flying the confederate flag gets serious groans from the audience. McCain seems to dispute whether it’s over the capitol or in front of it. Says its a settled issue, time to move on, and boy, does that get applause.
A much more active crowd tonight.
Huckabee is asked question about parole for a convict who killed someone in Missouri. Handles it pretty well – suggests regret, but not quite looking weak. A classy answer.
