The Senate Race Numbers That Refuse to Change

At the beginning of the year, next year’s Senate race in Missouri, likely to feature Republican Roy Blunt and Democrat Robin Carnahan, looked really tight. And now, in December, it looks… really tight. Rasmussen has Carnahan ahead by 2 percentage points.

Rasmussen has Obama’s approval rating splitting 47 percent approve, 53 percent disapproving, so I might be mildly nervous if I were Carnahan. Obama and the Democrats managed to bring out just about every possible voter in 2008, and yet McCain won Missouri by a very narrow margin. Obviously, this one could go either way, but Roy Blunt has to feel pretty good about where he is…
