My first instinct was to sympathize with Hillary Clinton, but perhaps the awkward phrasing of the question might have given her a hint that there was an issue with the translation. When’s the last time you heard a question phrased, “What does Mr. Clinton think through the mouth of Mrs. Clinton?”
The term “blew a gasket” doesn’t seem overstating it, and it’s not quite the tone you’d like to hear from the U.S. Secretary of State while addressing a foreign audience. Maybe it’s been a rough, long trip.
It turns out the poor student asked, “What does Mr. Obama think through the mouth of Mrs. Clinton?”
