The Campaign Spot

Watching This Debate, So That You Don’t Have To

I’m only going to post when somebody says something we haven’t heard at previous debates. (I know, I know, it sounds like I’m trying to take the afternoon off.)

So far, there’s been a lot of talk that by ending the Iraq war, the country’s economic problems will go away…
For example, Edwards is going off on tax policy being written by the wealthiest Americans and big corporations. In thirty seconds, with no interaction between candidates, and no follow-up questions from the moderator, all we’re going to get today are thirty second pitches for the candidates. Nobody’s going to challenge anybody else on anything.
Chris Dodd says that “there is this perception out there that the Democrats are more associated with tax increases than growing the economy.” Funny how those perceptions get out there, Senator.
