‘When he ran for the Senate, he promised middle class tax relief.’

Finally, John McCain brought up one of the tougher points: “When he ran for the Senate, he promised middle class tax relief. You know that after he got elected, he never once proposed legislation to do that?”
When a guy has broken the exact same promise before, it’s reason to doubt him the second time around.
That’s the sort of point that ought to make a difference, but I’m not sure that it will.
