Whether You’ve Heard of Them on Not, At Least Romney’s Endorsements Are Well-Timed

Right now, judging by handouts and buttons, the Family Research Council summit is split among supporters of Thompson, Huckabee, and Romney.

With Don Wilton, former president of the South Carolina Baptist Convention endorsing Romney, the sense is that the Romney folks are pushing to create the impression that one by one, the big leaders are falling in line behind the former Massachusetts Governor. It still remains to be seen whether any of the endorsers so far – Don Wilton, Bob Jones III, etc., have enough pull, individually or cumulatively, to get the rank-and-file to move en masse behind Romney.
