Who’s Going to Take on Russ Feingold?

Rasmussen puts former Wisconsin governor Tommy Thompson up four on Russ Feingold, 47 percent to 43 percent, in a hypothetical matchup. Thompson is reportedly thinking about a run . . . and thinking, and thinking, and thinking.

I’d note that if you’re a much-discussed or much-desired candidate who hasn’t made it official yet, you’re probably not going to run – see Rudy Giuliani, Mike Pence, or Beau Biden.

However, Ted Kanavas, a state legislator from Waukesha County, said yesterday he’s not ruling out a possible challenge to Feingold.
