A lot of the poll numbers lately have been stinky for McCain – but CNN/Times’ latest batch has some refreshing bits of news.
McCain only trails Ohio by 3 percent, within the margin of error. In Indiana, which some polls have put as awfully close for a traditionally red state, they have McCain up by 5 percent.
And now the not-so-great news — Obama is leading New Hampshire 53-45. North Carolina is tied at 49 all. I wouldn’t put enormous stock into the idea that McCain will carry Wisconsin, but he’s within 5 in CNN/Time’s most recent one.
