Illinois Treasurer Alexi Giannoulias, D, who is running to succeed appointed Sen. Roland Burris, D, in Barack Obama’s old senate seat, attacked his Republican opponent earlier this week for…opposing an invasion of Iran. From Giannoulias’s website: “Today Mark Kirk (R) took the irresponsible step of saying that he opposes a military option in dealing with Iran. While saying that he believes Iran is in the midst of a “nuclear breakout,” he removed a critical instrument in the U.S. foreign policy toolbox.”
