‘Cause a POTUS Party Don’t Stop!

Forget about the 3 a.m. call. How about the 3 a.m. White House after-party?

The Obamas made their inaugural ball appearances early enough for prime-time TV, but they weren’t done partying yet: The first couple welcomed a host of celebrities back to the White House for an after-party that lasted well past midnight.

It’s not clear how long the Obamas stayed at the party, but tweets from some attendees suggest that it was late.

“2:30am at the White House. It’s a celebration!” singer John Legend tweeted, along with a photo of him and his fiancé, model Chrissy Teigen. Later on, Teigen wrote, “I don’t even know what to say. It’s 3:15am and I just teared up seeing our president getting down at the white house.”

Pop star Katy Perry was equally impressed.

“Just left the White House,” she tweeted at 2:38 a.m. “All other parties from here on out will be judged unless they take place at the White House.”

“American Idol” star Kelly Clarkson, also in attendance, noted that it was first lady Michelle Obama who “stood up and got the party started.”

“Seriously cool First Lady :)” the singer observed. . .
