An Orlando, Fla., man whom U.S. law enforcement questioned as an associate of the Boston bombing suspects was shot and killed after he tried to attack a Federal Bureau of Investigation agent, according to the FBI and a law-enforcement official.
The FBI identified the dead man as Ibragim Todashev and said a shooting-review team from its Washington headquarters will be sent to Orlando to review the incident.
The FBI said it was interviewing the man with other law-enforcement personnel “when a violent confrontation was initiated by the individual.”
An FBI agent, “acting on the imminent threat posed by the individual, responded with deadly force,” the FBI said. . .
