Mila Kunis: ‘I accepted an invitation and I’m staying true to my word’

Mila Kunis will indeed attend the Marine Corps Ball with Sgt. Scott Moore, she confirmed loud and proud Thursday, putting to rest a rumor that she’d backed out.

Watch the video if you can, because she said it best: “Never did I say that I was not going.” That version of events was made up, she said, “and people believed it, unfortunately.”

The rumor, which appeared to be based on a look at Kunis’ production obligations, was sketchy but got a lot of play.

“I accepted an invitation and I’m staying true to my word,” the actress said at a “Friends With Benefits” media event. “I got permission to be released from work for the day, so I’m flying in and flying out.” Kunis will be headed for the Greenville, N.C., event on Nov. 18. . .
