Mark Brnovich has defeated GOP incumbent Arizona Attorney General Tom Horne in the heated and much-talked about race as the state’s top law enforcement official.
Horne, who has faced allegations of campaign finance violations and misconduct in his personal life, including an affair with a female subordinate, refused numerous requests for him to either resign or decline to run for reelection.
Taking the stage at the Arizona Republican Party primary election night event, Brnovich told attendees he would work hard to earn the trust of Arizona voters and thanked supporters for all they had done to help him cross the finish line.
Brnovich will now go on to face Democrat Felecia Rotellini in the November general election.
