Finland is a splendid place with a fine, pleasantly undemonstrative culture, where silence is a virtue and where the outward expression of emotion is, quite rightly, generally frowned upon. In every Eden, however, there’s a serpent. Here from Thursday’s New York Times, is the distressing story of Turo Herala, a Finn who wants his heroically stoic countrymen to start, well, venting.
