The Jyllands-Posten (yes, them again) runs a piece by one Dane who has had enough. Alas, it’s in Danish, but the headline says it all:
“Man pisser på os” (oh, use your imagination…)
Some words he uses later in the piece, however, should be translated and repeated again, and again and again.
“Så er det, at jeg siger: Ytringsfrihed er ytringsfrihed er ytringsfrihed. Der er intet men.” Or (in rough translation): “So this is it, this is what I am saying. Freedom of speech is freedom of speech is freedom of speech. There is no but. “
Ytringsfrihed. Sounds good in any language, doesn’t it?
